First GEMex Stakeholder board meeting

The first GEMex Stakeholder Board meeting successfully took place in Brussels on November 15th, 2017. The objective of the meeting was to kick-off the activities of the GEMex Stakeholder Board, which discussed the preliminary results of the GEMex project.

The fruitful discussion arose many interesting points, which touched, among other things, upon lessons learned and next actions for market development. David Bruhn (GFZ), Philippe Calcagno (BRGM), Domenico Liotta (Uniba) and Jan Diederik van Wees (TNO) represented the GEMex project to the stakeholders.

The Board has been created in the framework of the EU founded project GEMex – Cooperation in Geothermal energy research Europe-Mexico for development of Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) and Superhot Geothermal Systems (SHGS). Its mission is to strengthen the liaison between industry and research, preparing the basis for a continued cooperation between Europe and Mexico on future geothermal development.
